Hal Widlansky - Chief Executive Officer
Hal brings over a decade of entrepreneurial success in the technology industry to
his role as Mangiaʼs chief executive officer. He has previously held executive and
senior management positions at Aculis, SonoSite Ultrasound, SonoMetric Health, Hersch
and Company, Cogit Corporation, and Ticketmaster-Citysearch, and he has served as
a consultant for several other companies.
Hal also works with prominent community business groups, serving as a member of
the Utah Centers of Excellence Advisory Council at the Governor’s Office of Economic
Development, director of Olympus Angel Investors, and as an advisor for the Wayne
Brown Institute. He completed a Master of Arts program in telecommunications at
Michigan State University and attended the university’s College of Osteopathic Medicine.
He also holds a BA in telecommunications from MSU.
Nate Checketts - President
Nate is a co-founder of Mangia and serves as the company’s president, overseeing
day-to-day management and business development. He is an experienced financial analyst,
having spent time with SCP Worldwide in New York and Towerbrook Capital Partners
in London.
Nate also worked briefly as a consultant in the New York office of the Monitor Group
before turning down a full-time offer to pursue this opportunity. His first successful
entrepreneurial venture was at the age of 15, when he developed and led a summer
sports camp for children. The camp grew to over 160 participants and increased revenues
by more than 500%. He holds a BS in finance from Brigham Young University.
Blake Ferguson - Vice President,
Product Development
Blake co-founded Mangia and leads the company’s product-development efforts.
He has served as a member of marketing teams with The Canyons Resort (Park City,
UT), Rich Sea-Pak Corporation (Buffalo, NY), and the West Yellowstone Chamber of
Commerce (West Yellowstone, MT).
Blake has also led public-relation teams for the restaurant chain Coney's Frozen
Custard and for speaker Dian Thomas. Blake earned a BA in public relations from
Brigham Young University.
Bryan Francis - Vice President,
Venue Operations
Bryan guides the company's operations and customer relations. With over
10 years of experience in the customer relations industry, he served as the manager
of operations at One Team Global for more than 2 years, overseeing 5,000+ distributors
and handling service issues.
Bryan has worked in marketing and promotions for Ford (Sandy, UT) and
Energy Solutions Arena (Salt Lake City, UT). He holds a BA in communications from
the University of Utah.
John Stockham - Vice President,
Sales and Management
John is Mangia’s Vice President of Sales and Management. John
brings more than 15 years of sales and entrepreneurial experience in the fields
of technology, finance and real estate. As head of sales, John will lead
Mangia’s expansion into other professional sports stadiums and college venues
nationwide.
John most recently served as Vice President of Sales at
Aculis, a national software development company. He previously served as the
head of the Customer Referral Channel for Countrywide Financial, where he was
responsible for $3.9 billion in annual sales. He has also served as Vice
President of Broker Services at Interthinks, Inc., a leading provider of fraud
detection tools for the mortgage industry, and spent six years in senior
management roles at REALTOR.com. John holds a Bachelor of Arts degree
from Utah State University.
